Ladies and gentlemen, I am in Cowichan Valley.
My thoughts exactly.
I’m spending the weekend across the street from the largest Wal-Mart in North America for a U18 indoor field hockey tournament. Last night we arrived in town via ferry, which I spent the majority of my time sitting in a dimly lit area reading Catching Fire (sequel to the Hunger Games). I was so glad once we arrived at the overly clean-scented Best Western and I could, at last, boot up my laptop and re-enter the online world. Only kidding. It was actually nice to finally arrive and be able to kick back and relax (I fell asleep at 10pm).
This afternoon, we played 3 games at noon, 2, and 4, and now I am off to eat with the 3 other teams participating in the tournament at the local secondary school at a “banquet.”
